This spin-off of the popular Peoria district Brookside by Day restaurant is appropriately dubbed B.B.D. II. The environment is cool and casual, colored in shades of neutral, blue and warm brown. While the place has a full lunch menu, consisting mainly of soups, sandwiches and burgers, and a few Mexican dishes, the real meal to be eaten here is breakfast. This is Southern comfort food at its best: heaping platefuls of biscuits and gravy, fluffy omelets with all the trimmings, hash browns, and even grits. This restaurant attracts crowds, so arrive early.
