Overview
Named for its Pearl District locale, Pearl Bakery was established in 1997. The friendly young women behind the counter serve up some of the best cups of coffee in Portland. The pastries and sandwiches are exquisite, as are the now famous Parisian-style breads. For lunch, try the Marinated Eggplant sandwich on Ciabatta bread. The brioche or croissant is standard fare for the breakfast crowd. Take a loaf of olive bread with you to snack on as you tour Powell's Books one block away. Cash only.
