There is nothing so unique in Portland, as this owner-operated collective that is equal parts coffeehouse, eatery, music venue and good place to stop off for a beer or a revolution. Everything is vegan, organic and as local as possible, including a couple of rotating taps with local brews. Bring your own laptop to take advantage of free Wi-Fi, or use their terminals. With one of the best tempeh reubens in town, well-simmered soups and delicious Cherry Bomb baked goods, they can sometimes be overrun. Just relax with some subversive literature and a beverage while waiting for your meal - it's worth the wait.
