Overview
One of the members of the American Ethical Union, the Ethical Humanist Society of Philadelphia has since 1885 professed an ethical and progressive outlook towards life and the way we relate with each other as human beings. Carrying on the founding principles as idealized by Felix Adler in 1876, when he set into motion the Ethical Culture Movement, this society believes in offering a space where people can grow together by building lasting relationships that help them grow, and by helping them to strengthen existing relationships. The society also offers classes for children, in order to introduce them to this different way of living. The society also rents out its premises for various cultural events.
