Overview
This Federal-style stone building served as one of the five state houses that were used in rotation by the Rhode Island General Assembly; the first floor houses a school library for the adjacent elementary schools, while the second floor courtroom is in the process of being renovated to its original Eighteenth Century grandeur. The historic courtroom also features re-enactments of famous local trials.
