The legend goes that a crew member named Jack was mistakenly left behind on an island near Murrell's Inlet with dozens of casks of rum buried by Blackbeard and his men. Soon he became "Drunken Jack." Right on the water, this casual restaurant offers very fresh grilled, blackened or sauteed seafood. Its more interesting dishes include calamari, frogs legs, grouper, oyster stew, she crab soup and conch fritters. For the landlubber, they offer steaks, prime rib and chicken. There is a fairly extensive wine list. Leave room for the Black Joke pie, a truly serious dessert.
