A licensed public fishing pier, this 668-foot (200-meter) long attraction offers some of the best fishing in the area. No saltwater fishing licenses are required, and season passes are available. There are fees for fishing but none to walk the pier. In addition to renting rods and tackle, the tackle shop offers drinks, sandwiches and snacks as well. Fishermen have caught sheepshead, flounder, bluefish, spot and pompano. At the end of the pier is the Deck Cafe, open during the summer. There is also a large arcade on the pier where winning tickets can be traded in for prizes. The Pier Cafe (open March through December) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also features patio dining, an indoor bar, karaoke and live entertainment on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Hours vary seasonally. Check the website for more information. -Natasha Lawrence
