Overview

Kids and adults will enjoy this very interactive pirate adventure on the Sea Gypsy, located at the Crazy Sister Marina in Murrells Inlet. Arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes before the ship departs so kids can get into character with costumes, eye patches, swords, face painting and tattoos. A cruise lasting over an hour includes finding a treasure map, hunting for and pulling treasure from the sea, spraying "Stinky Pete" with water cannons and drinking "pirate grog." The ship sails in the Inlet only and does not venture into the ocean. Although reservations are not required, it is advisable to do so. Make sure you use the bathroom at the main check-in before boarding as there are none on board. Hours vary seasonally; call for times or check the website. The venue is closed December, January and February and reopens in March. Group rates and private parties are available. -Natasha Lawrence
