Overview

T.I.G.E.R.S. stands for The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species. The focus of this 50-acre institution is preservation, education and training. The facility invites the public to get close to exotic and wild animals, and sometimes even gives people the chance to hold or interact with tiger cubs. A personal 3-hour tour can be expensive, but a USD20 coupon can be found in local discount books and newspapers. A USD40 photo discount is also available at the park. The minimum age for a tour guest is six. Videos and photo sessions can be created with family groups taking the tour. Visitors will leave knowing more about the importance of preservation and the thrill of experiencing a "safari" style trip into the wild right at home. -Natasha Lawrence
