“AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! WE GOT ROBBED AND MANAGEMENT NEVER CARED!!!!” I went to the hotel for a weekend Vacation to the beach. I was taking my mum and step daughter to Myrtle beach as they were visiting from out of town. I stayed in room 252 (one bedroom). I had stayed in the hotel with my friend last year and i loved the pool and proximity to the beach for the kids so i took them to relax for the weekend. The Room was not as clean, bath tub was all stained including the sheets. We always use our own sheets so we didn't care. The hot water also had an issue. it was one minute off one minute cold!! We went to the beach at 0900hrs,on a Saturday and when we came back to the room, my mummy discovered that her $550 was missing and her Gold watch was missing too. I checked my stuff and all my wallet was gone, i mean gone STOLEN!!!! My Debit and Credit Cards, Check book, Driver's License ...everything a lady carry's in her wallet. My husband wallet was left just because he did not have cards in it but $40 was taken. We reported to the management, (Talked to the RUDEST MANAGER EVER!!!! he had a prosthetic arm) he scribbled the 911 number to call the cops and then my hubby was like, is that it? He said what do you want me to do that's all i can do ( In a very rude tone..no sympathy or empathy at all). Cops were called we recorded a police report and was told to follow up later as we were from NC. We went back to the room, discovered the door had a defect , called the front desk to have someone check it or change our room, the manager started yelling at my husband on the phone saying we being a nuisance. We went downstairs to talk to him, he locked the door and did not want anything to do with us, ( my next neighbor room 250 was also there to report his lost phone). The manger refused to talk to all of us. We called the cops again but the manager had also called cops on us claiming we were becoming a nuisance and wanted us to leave the hotel. We explained to the cop the issue regarding the door, (Thank God it was the same cop) he took pictures of the door lock and agreed with us that the door had a defect, and that it needed to be added to the police report. He also added that we are being evicted from the hotel as the Manager don't want us there anymore and there is no refund for the night. (SC law claims if the manager want you out, you have to leave) The Manager also said that we are careless and why did we have to leave our valuables in the room? I asked him if thieves come to your house and steal your stuff does that mean your careless?? and he said YES!!! Am a strong believer and God did provide us a place to stay,( We got a Complimentary from a friend manager in Sand Dunes Hotel) as we had Zero money on us, and also everybody was tired to drive back to NC. We packed and left the hotel at around 2200Hrs that night with your two sleepy kids. Family sent us money the next day to gas our car back to NC and that's how our vacation got TERRIBLY RUINED!!!!! As a mother i would advice EVERYONE to avoid this hotel as they are all after your money and have no feelings for their customers. Am sick of this place and i regret having taken my family there for the weekend, especially my mother who was visiting from out of country!! REAL EMBARRASSMENT TO THE HOTEL!!!!!!!! BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!! CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE IN THE LONG RUN!!!! WE LEARNING THE HARD WAY!...   Read More
