Overview

An International Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site are located at this popular National Park that has 500,000 acres covering parts of Tennessee and North Carolina and features over 4,000 species of plants and over 800 miles of hiking trails. Activities available including hiking, bicycling, picnicking, scenic drives, swimming, and fishing. There are also many camping sites available in various areas in the park.

  Just visited the Great Smlky Mountains National Park. Fall colors were perfect. And the clouds hung low over the mountains giving them the authentic "smoky" look. The views were incredible when the clouds broke. But get ready to feel like you've been on a "Tilt-a-Whirl" ride as you swing back and forth on the roads in the area. Certainly a World Heritage Treasure! Everyone should visit at least once in his or her lifetime....   Read More
