It seems like every time someone utters the word "Spanish," thoughts of the Mexican nation are conjured up instead of the European country. Spaniards should not be conflated with Mexicans as each culture has distinctive, rich qualities. The Latasca food trailer on East 6th stands as a testament to the heritage the Spanish created. Although it is BYOB, they do have sangria setups to which you can add your own wine. Fortunately, the food greatly outweighs the fact that there is no alcohol for sale. Patatas brava (fried potatoes) swim in a sauce laced with cayenne pepper, garlic mushrooms bathe in a wine-spiked marinade, and the meatballs are hearty, juicy fare.
