Woodland (The), Austin

From its prime position on trendy South Congress, The Woodland serves comfort food at brunch, lunch and dinner in its cozy dining room. Appetizers include lots of fried goodies, like oysters, cheese curds and corn fritters. Lunch and dinner choices include sandwiches and burgers, including their homemade veggie burger, made bright pink from the addition of beets. Other choices include their signature pot pie, meatloaf and pork chop. Dessert offerings are a variety of pies and cakes. The Woodland is also known for its bar, which serves classic drinks like the French 75, and new twists like the Woodland's Ginger Cherry Limeade. - Christine Whalen
