Back Country Bar-B-Q has been firing up their pits since 1975 so they have been around long enough to have a feel for what they are doing which is important in a city known for good BBQ restaurants. The sandwiches have buns that are warm, toasted and piled high with meat. Dinners of Ribs, Beef, Hot Links or Sausages have generous portions and come with 2 vegetables and Texas Toast; and The 3 meat combo is always popular as it offers a variety of tastes from the menu. During the week, they have daily specials and tempting side dishes such as Hot Pinto Beans with Jalapenos, Corn O'Brien, Large Baked Potatoes, Macaroni Salad and Fried Okra. Deserts are the traditional Pecan or Sweet Potato pie.
