City Cafe, Dallas

There is no rush to leave this contemporary cafe any earlier than you choose to. Located in the sophisticated Park Cities area, the tantalizing menu may change every two weeks, but the casual elegance and attention to detail are constant. The two storey eatery boasts a bank of windows covered by lace curtains. Inspired by the sun drenched land of California, the menu reflects an intriguing combination of fruit and vegetables in each dish. Entrees include pan seared swordfish stuffed with cheese; or try the spaghetti tossed with chicken, asparagus, sun dried tomatoes and mushroom pesto. Another favorite of City Cafe is veal scaloppini sauteed with white wine, mushrooms and buttered noodles.
