In business since 1949, founder Mario Messina still manages the restaurant offering Old World Italian cooking. The fun side of the elegant atmosphere includes a fortune teller, a canopy of plastic grapevines and a wandering accordionist who plays just about any request. Signature dishes include spaghetti with meatballs and fettuccini alfredo, as well as new-style items like pesce alla livornese, sea bass in a tomato broth and garlic toast. The wine list is excellent, featuring good wines at great prices.
