Montrose Chinese Restaurant , Houston

Montrose has a lot of things in abundance, but Chinese food isn't one of them. Conveniently located on Montrose Boulevard, just south of West Gray Street, is an almost exclusively takeout Chinese kitchen. It's a brightly charming place, despite having no dining room (save for a couple tiny tables). They have all the common Americanized Chinese lunch menu specials with which we've all grown up, like chunky Kung Po and spicy General Tso's Chicken. Their soups are rightfully soothing as well. Perhaps the best part about Montrose Chinese is how fresh their ingredients are. There's something to be said for meat and veggies that look and taste so crisp. -Adam Rosen
