A theater that has been a part of the city landscape for decades, the Cameo Theatre first started its existence as a movie theater-cum-vaudeville venue in 1940. Then, as the theatrical scene began to alter, the theater began its own revolution, emerging as a hub for theatrical performances, live gigs, film screenings, and more. Among the artists who have graced the stage include legends like Louis Armstrong, B.B. King, and Metallica. Though the decor has changed immensely, an Egyptian touch being quite apparent, the theater still holds a prominent place in the city's events circles.
