Papa Dante's, San Antonio

Located at the corner of Toepperwein Road and FM 1976 in Converse, this local favorite is worth the drive required to reach it. For more than 20 years, it has been serving flavorful and inexpensive food in pleasantly large portions. Pizzas, hot and cold submarine sandwiches, salads, soups and appetizers are available, as is a hearty selection of pasta dishes such as spaghetti, lasagna and mostaccioli. All entrees are available with extra Italian sausage or meatballs if you're extra hungry. Top it off with a cappuccino or some of Papa Dante's hot apple skillet a la mode and you won't regret the trip.
