Having been around for quite some time under the name Planeta Mexico, the revamped and renamed Planeta Bar-Rio has stayed close to its Latino roots. Its easy to alienate party-goers when the vibe is undoubtedly south-of-the-border, with the DJ spinning largely Latino Pop and Rock. Planeta Bar-Rio balances it out well by hosting College Nights for the teen crowd, as also Salsa Nights and the usual Ladies Nights. Live Latin music in another big draw at the club and bigger the act, more the crowds the club manages to pack. Book a table in advance, dress chic and be prepared to splurge on the alcohol. Afterall, Tequila never comes alone!
