Charlottesville’s Doubletree is another fine hotel with just one real drawback: location. Toward the north end of town, it’s kind of far from the action, but the rooms are some of the most comfortable you’ll find, and we can’t offer enough praise for the entire staff of this hotel. Everyone jumps through hoops to show you what southern hospitality is all about, and you’ll definitely want to try the food at TJ’s Tavern, which is exponentially better than most hotel restaurants.
