Strawberry Street Cafe, Richmond

A neighborhood tradition in the historic Fan district, the Strawberry Street Cafe is the ideal place to stop when touring the area or visiting the nearby Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Art students from Virginia Commonwealth University regularly draw master studies in colored chalk on boards hanging around the restaurant. Window seating provides a lovely view of the historic Fan district. The bathtub salad bar, which greets you as you walk in the door, is the most creatively presented (and most delicious) in the city.
