For several days each fall Seattle takes on the role of North America's electronic music mecca. The city's high-profile Decibel festival gives fans a chance to dance to the beats of the most buzzed-about producers of the moment. Veterans of the scene, of the caliber of Autechre, Amon Tobin, and Richie Hawtin, are also featured. There's not only dancing at Decibel--the festival program includes new media art exhibitions and film screenings, as well as various workshops and presentations for industry professionals. The events take place in different venues, mostly around downtown Seattle and the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Please mind that some of the performances might appear here as separate events. The full schedule is available on the festival's official website.
