Overview

Since she blew her top in 1980, Mount St. Helens has been one of the world's most popular tourist attractions. The crowds became even larger when it recently began to spew ash again. Once at the visitor center, you can walk through a replica of the volcano, learn about the mountain's history and pick up directions to Johnson Ridge Observatory where you can peer into the crater.
