Nu Black Arts West Theatre, originally known as the Black Arts Theatre, was founded in 1969. Some of the famous plays of the 70's 'Who Am I?', and 'The Tribute' put the theatre into the limelight. Today, the centre conducts classes in drama, dance and voice for children and adults, admission to which is by audition only. The instructors are all professionals and one is sure to learn a lot here! The center also conducts fund raisers for business and educational development of Sub-Saharan Africa as well as Cultural Heritage Programs for enhanced interaction between Africans and Americans.
