Bode Miller is one of the top talents in the skiing world. He won his second World Cup title in four years in 2008 and back in 2005 was the first American to win the title in 22 years! He's also scored a pair of silver medals in the 2002 Winter Olympics. It's safe to say that Bode is one of the prominent talents of this decade in skiing and has surely helped define and shape the sport into what it is today.

AOL Travel had a chance to sit down with this busy world traveler and The Superstars contestant to find out where his favorite destinations are, what bothers him most when traveling and what place really inspired him.

Is there a destination or travel moment that inspired you, or even changed your life? If so, where and why?

Japan - the 98 Olympics. It was so new, exciting, exotic and interesting.

What's your biggest pet peeve when you travel?

When people get upset, impatient or angry while traveling (for example, at the airlines). We are able to travel all around the world these days so we really should be grateful that we have the capabilities/technologies to do this.

Where is your favorite place to get it away from it all?

New Hampshire

When traveling, what's the very first thing you do when you enter your hotel room?

Take off shoes and socks

As a celebrity, you travel a lot for your job. What are some tips and tricks that you've found to make the journey more comfortable?

Be aware that delays are going to happen (back to pet peeves). Just stay positive and patient. Don't spend extra energy being pissed off. It does not help. Be happy that you are just able to travel to places that in the past would take days if not years to get to.

I think that if we all shared the same laid back nature towards flying that Bode exudes, we would all be more relaxed individuals and traveling would be that much more fun.

Catch Bode battling it out with other superstars of tv on ABC's The Superstars as he's paired up with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Paige Hemmis. The Superstars, based on ABC’s classic Wide World of Sports series of the same name, teams eight professional athletes and eight celebrities at the spectacular Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas to compete for the title of The Superstars Champion. The Superstars finale airs Tuesday, August 4th (8:00-9:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
