Disney travelers take note—effective today, the amount of time you have to book dining reservations in advanced has doubled, from 90 days to 180 days.

Disney expert Sharon Spohn—who writes for the Pottstown, Penn. Mercury—advises anyone planning to visit Disney World in 2010 start planning now.

Spohn offered an insider tip for those who want to jump the gun on booking dining reservations: "On the day you can begin making reservations, bookings online may be made starting at 6am. If you call, they don't open till 7am. So if there's a must-do restaurant on your list, get up early and book on the Disney website," she advises. Just don't forget your Disney confirmation number when you show up to claim your reservation!

During peak season, the "Table Service" Disney Dining Plan price will cost $5 more per adult per day and $1 more per child per day. Affected dates include Feb. 12 to April 10, June 4 to Aug. 14, and Dec. 17 to Dec. 31, 2010. The "Deluxe" Disney Dining Plan price will not increase during peak seasons.

Now, for the good news: If you're planning on spending a week at Dinsey in 2010, you're in luck, because Disney is currently running a promotion that allows you to buy 4 nights at the resort and get 3 additional nights at no extra cost.

The "Magic Your Way" package is good at select Disney Moderate, Disney Deluxe or Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and includes tickets to the park. The total package price comes out to be $1,691, or just $61 per day per person for a family of four. The deal is good for travel through late March.
