These days it seems like every airline is changing the rules... where you once had complimentary everything on a flight, you now have to think forward to what you need if you want to eat, drink and be merry when you're on your way to a particular destination. Following are 10 airlines and their in-flight expenditures to help you prep for your next trip.

Up Next: Air Canada

Bag Check: If you have a lower fare trip, you're allowed one bag for free and a second for $25. Higher fares offer you more checked luggage ops.
Food & Drink: Non-alcoholic drinks are free, while alcohol will start you at $4. In-flight food will run you between $5-12 in the on-board caf�.
Entertainment: Complimentary headsets are offered, and features are show on flights over 4.5 hours.
How To Pay: Cash.

Up Next: American Airlines

Bag Check: Each person is allowed one checked bag at a cost of $15 - a second will run you $25.
Food & Drink: Soda is free, but alcohol will cost you $5-6. On flights four-hours or longer, meals are free. Any shorter than that and snacks cost anywhere from $4-6
Entertainment: Most domestic flights offer movies as part of the experience. You can use your own headphones or pay $2 for ones they offer you in-flight.
How To Pay: Cash or credit.

Up Next: Delta Airlines

Bag Check: Delta has yet to jump on the charge-for-check bandwagon, allowing you your first bag free. Once again your 2nd checked bag is $25, with a maximum weight of 50lbs per bag.
Food & Drink: Beverages like soda, juice and water are free, and alcohol starts at $5. Food for purchase is only on flights over 2.5 hours and ranges from $2-10, depending on the time of day.
Entertainment: Headsets are $2, or you can bring your own.
How To Pay: Cash

Up Next: United Airlines

Bag Check: If you booked before June 18, checking one bag is free, and a second costs $25. But after Aug. 18, bag checks will cost you $15 each.
Food & Drink: Snacky treats like chips and sandwiches start at $7 and go up from there -- and are only offered if the flight is three hours or more. Soft drinks are free.
Entertainment: Both the movie and headphones are free!
How To Pay: Cash.

Up Next: Jet Blue

Bag Check: Yet another awesome airline that doesn't charge you for bag checks, Jet Blue allows you the standard one plus your carry-ons, and charges you $20 for a second checked bag.
Food & Drink: Free! Load up on Terra Blue chips and soda all you want.
Entertainment: Enjoy DirecTV programming on every Jet Blue flight for free, or pony up $5 for an on-demand movie.
How To Pay: Credit cards for movies, cash for everything else.

Up Next: British Airways

Bag Check: The only time you'll pay extra for baggage check is if you're over your maximum allowance of 51 lbs per bag.
Food & Drink: All meals and snacks are complimentary, as are beverages of all kinds. And naturally, there's afternoon tea!
Entertainment: Magazines and newspapers are available for your reading pleasure, but you also have your own personal video screen with 18 channels.
How To Pay: Smile.

Up Next: Emirates

Bag Check: Emirates doesn't charge for check-ins, and allows you a carry-on plus one in the cabin.
Food & Drink: Everything is complimentary, including wines and spirits. Add to that a five-course meal for good measure, and your stomach will be as pleased as your wallet.
Entertainment: Every seat has its own personal entertainment system with 1,000 channels of entertainment, all for free.
How To Pay: With a gracious "thank you."

Up Next: Continental Airlines

Bag Check: Don't worry about paying anything for your first checked bag, but checking a second will cost you $25.
Food & Drink: Both drinks and food are free, and the length of your flight alters the meal you get -- shorter flights net you a snack, longer flights get you a full meal.
Entertainment: Movies are shown on longer flights, which means headsets are going to cost you $1 if you don't have your own.
How To Pay: Cash.

Up Next: Air Tahiti Nui

Bag Check: Put your wallet away -- you're not going to need it, because Air Tahiti Nui doesn't charge for bag checks.
Food & Drink: Beverages are complimentary throughout the flight, and meals aren't only free, you're given your choice of two French Polynesian favorites to prep you for your actual vacation.
Entertainment: Each seat is equipped with individual video screens featuring six movie channels and eight music channels. Headphones are free.
How To Pay: Pay it forward.

Up Next: U.S. Airways

Bag Check: No worries about paying to check with US Air, but a second bag will dent you by $25.
Food & Drink: Beverages of the soda and juice variety are free, while alcoholic drinks start at $5. There's also a snack box with little goodies for $5 a piece.
Entertainment: The standard movie and headset deal is the norm here -- $2 to listen if you don't bring your own, and the flick is complimentary.
